NEWS — Wenatchee police officer Brian Hewitt, shot in the leg, runs for cover near the Living Hope Community Church on the corner of Chelan and Palouse Streets Saturday morning, May 7, 2022. He and two other officers discharged their weapons, killing Alexander J. White, 36, East Wenatchee, in the altercation who police say was shooting at the church.
